The map seems to be working!

I'm very happy that my hastily coded tracking application is working.

I worked out some kinks with Johann (ZS6ETA) to get WSPR to work nicely. There's a little switch you have to toggle to ensure you upload 6 digit grid square references with WSJT-X. I did some fireside coding in Houdenbek and fixed up my code to not show 4 digit grid references, and that's also working,

On the road to Calvinia

We've left the Tankwa Karoo national park, and we're on our way to Calvinia.

We could have stayed longer for sure, but the Namaqua coast beckons. Maybe there are flowers waiting?

Tankwa NP -- pleasantly comfortable

What a pleasant surprise the Langkloof campsite at Tankwa has been! A lush green oasis after traversing a rocky hot semi-desert on rugged roads. A sheltered warm spot fit for our real first winter camping on this trip.

We're into week 2 of our adventure. Camping in the Karoo. Luxury camping, but camping nonetheless.

Mad Max meets Tankwa meets Orion

Adina is addicted to the WiFi hotspot, so Orion and I are exploring some Africa Burn relics in the Tankwa tented kamp.
